I went to the gym yesterday! I felt so much better when I woke up yesterday morning and I was really feeling the need to move around.  I took this as a good sign and headed out to the gym before my class. I thought I would do 10 minutes on the bike but I ended up doing 15 and I still felt pretty good! After I did some weights and called it a day. I am super happy with this! 24 hours later I am still feeling well, so it’s aallll good.

Judging by today’s rain, I think the outdoor skating season is finally kaput. I am pretty disappointed that I missed the tail end of it. I can’t skate indoors because arenas are always so polluted by zamboni fumes and the like. Boo hoo I’ll just have to hang up my skates until next winter.

Yesterday was a pretty good day overall. I got lots of studying done for my genetics midterm on Saturday. Today will involve much of the same. I am getting pretty tired of spending my Friday nights studying but this is the last time I will be forced to do it this semester : )

Well I went out for a skate this morning. The weather is absolutely wonderful and the ice is great. Unfortunately my adventure didn’t end very well. I had been happily going along at quite a clip but had to slow down to catch my breath. As I was slowling down, this kid pops out from behind his dad and starts skating right at me at full speed. I didn’t have much time to think but this is roughly what went through my head ”Well, this is weird, can’t he see I’m right there? Oh, he’s looking right into my eyes, he must have seen me so he is going to move any millisecond now….yup anytime now buddy” and then PAF! Collision. We both went flying then just sort of looked at each other for a minute without saying anything before I had the sense to ask him if he was OK. He was mostly fine but his lip was bleeding. Fortunately his dad was there and fortunately he had a helmet on. I didn’t get injured.

It was the weirdest thing, you’d think this kid had a death wish or something. He just flew right into me, even though I’m sure he saw me because his eyes were right on me. And he was a good skater too so I don’t really understand what happened. Of course I could have swerved as well but I was just so sure he was going to move because like, who just skates into people? I got off the ice right after that because I had the wind knocked out of me and I was a wee bit frazzled.

I came home and finished off my music homework. yess!! I have GOT to get outside again because it is so sunny!! yay. And after that it’s back in to study. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Well, since my sloth day on Monday, I have actually been productive! Yesterday, I woke up early to go skating. I actually skated pretty hard and it was so glorious as the sun was shining and the ice was nearly deserted! After this I went home and studied for a bit, then went out again for a long walk. After a mini-nap and some dinner, I had dance practice. We really worked hard last night and I felt really good : ). And my lungs didn’t make a peep all day! This morning they are all grumbly though so I’m off to a slow start. I’m pretty sure they’re perking up so maybe I’ll go out for another walk, although I hear it is supposed to snow today…

Isn’t it just freaking weird how I talk about my lungs as if they are people, like they have a mind of their own or something?  I don’t know why I do that, I guess it helps me to make light of the situation, make it seem less serious or something. It’s kind of a weird habit.

Oh, and I almost forgot. Tonight i am going to see my favouritest violinist ever!! EEEE I can’t wait. OK, lungs are happy now. I shall go and attack my pile of biochemistry studying.
